Our Products
Calcagno Family Farms
Over 30 varieties of vegetables, ranging from baby carrots to beets, radishes to cilantro.
What We Grow
Baby carrots are our primary crop and where we've built our national reputation. Carrots are the 5th highest-selling vegetable in the produce department, and it's the category we know best. Beyond carrots, our Yuma, Arizona facility also produces beets, radishes, and cilantro. Every bit of it is 100% USA grown — planted, harvested, and packed here at home, never imported to cover an off-season.
-
Baby carrots are what we do best. Known for quality, consistency, and flavor, our baby carrots have earned us a national reputation.
-
We proudly grow a variety of certified organic vegetables, including carrots, cilantro, collard greens, curly kale, curly parsley, gold beets (bunched and cello), green leaf lettuce, green onions (iced and iceless), Italian parsley, mustard greens, radishes (bunched and cello), red beets (bunched and cello), red leaf lettuce, romaine, and spinach.
-
We also grow a wide selection of conventionally grown vegetables, including bok choy, brussels sprouts, butter lettuce, carrots, cilantro, collard greens, curly kale, curly parsley, gold beets (bunched and cello), green leaf lettuce, green onions (iced and iceless), Italian parsley, mustard greens, napa cabbage, radishes (bunched and cello), red beets (bunched and cello), red leaf lettuce, romaine, and spinach.
-
We produce a full pack portfolio in both conventional and organic, so retail and food service partners can source everything they need from one supplier: jumbo and juice carrots, clip-top "table" bunches, cello bags from 1 to 5 lbs, baby-peeled carrots in a range of pack counts, whole bunches, and oversized chunk-cut. With one supplier for every division, it simplifies procurement and cuts supply chain complexity for the partners who buy from us.
Taste the difference
Grown right and picked at its peak — carrots are our specialty, but not the whole story. We grow a full range of vegetables, in both conventional and organic programs, using practices built to protect the land as much as the crop.
Bred and Grown for Flavor
A great carrot isn't just about size or shelf life, it's about how it tastes. We grow for a higher sugar content (brix), which means a naturally sweeter carrot with flavor you can taste in every bite. Better flavor doesn't just make for a happier customer — it drives repeat purchases and stronger sell-through on the shelf.
That flavor starts with climate, not just genetics. Our Pacific Northwest growing season brings long summer days and cool nights. It’s the kind of day-to-night temperature swing that pushes root vegetables to store more sugar as they mature. In Arizona, we grow through the winter in deep, sandy soils with plenty of water and the same hot-day, cool-night swing. These conditions are close to ideal for carrots. Growing in whichever region is climatically best suited to carrots at that time of year means every carrot we ship was grown in its best season, not just any season.
